All Shall Be Well

Angie and Pat are longtime lesbian partners. Over three decades, they have been living in the real estate Pat formally owns. Set against the backdrop of Hong Kong, a city where traditional views still prevail, Angie finds herself navigating the aftermath of Pat’s sudden passing. With no legal protection for their relationship, she must confront the challenge of securing their shared home – a struggle that reflects the broader issues faced by LGBTQ+ individuals in a society still grappling with acceptance.

Through its gentle yet powerful narrative, All Shall Be Well offers a heartfelt examination of family dynamics and societal norms. Yeung’s keen directorial eye captures the nuances of social hierarchy and class divisions, inviting viewers to reflect on the intricacies of love, loss, and the quest for belonging.
